Spencer Shafter, MPSE, is a Sound Designer and Mixer originally hailing from Western Montana.  After complete bachelor's and master's degrees in music and audio technology at New York University, Spencer joined the exceptional team at HOBO Audio NYC.  There, Spencer currently serves as the studios Vice President and Executive Producer, though you will frequently find him at the console designing, under it (soldering), or in the booth making obscure noises to hide in soundscapes. When not at the studio, Spencer can be found teaching at his alma mater, NYU.  He has been a member of the adjunct faculty since 2016 and brings real-world audio post to the classroom environment.
